So this is it. in 16 hours the tournament begin, and i can say that i'm 100% complete (ok, maybe 99%, but still close enough).
I've been painting and playing Fantasy for the past 3 years, spending much time and money into a hobby that very few people really understand. This blog is following my steps into the world of Game Workshop's Fantasy and 40k.

The Unsinkables WIP #29 : Nearly Done!
Lack of post doesnt mean i didnt work on my army. I actually almost finished it. I also played a local 3 games tournament where i went 1-2 (49 pts out of a possible 90 i believe, and more important, roughly 15 pts from the top spot).
I once again realized that my list is pretty weak, but its okay, i have great looking models in that list.

The Unsinkables WIP #28 : Presentation tray underway!
I've been working pretty much non stop since my army was completed on my presentation tray. I've been learning alot doing it (mainly that the skin on my fingers grow back pretty fast), and it been a really fun adventure. I'm close to finish and i think its time to show it.

The Unsinkables WIP #26 : Chimera Done!
In the past few days, i kind of lost motivation to paint 3-4 hours each night, so it was a real struggle to get anything done. But i still managed to finish another piece, the Chimera.

The Unsinkables WIP #24 : Chariot, Warshrine and Chaos Lord advancement.
Despite the lack of update, i painted, quite alot actually. I'm almost done with another part of my army, with very little left to do before calling them done (i actually want them done for the weekend, so i can start on the next things).
So.... pictures!

The Unsinkables WIP #23 : WoC and Mage completely done!
It took a while, and struggle alot with choices, but they are finally done, all 30 warriors are completely done, and ready for play!
Of course, they still have small details to finish, like horn (still undecided, thinking about glossy black), and touch up on the cloak, but its things that can wait, and i'm moving on to the rest of the army, so for now... DONE!

The Unsinkables WIP #22 : Devil's in the details
An old saying about details ; they sucks.
I spent maybe 10+ hours doing details on the Warriors, and i still feel like i have tons left to do.... but it's advancing, and my mage is nearly done!
But before my picture galore, let me tell you about my first battle with my warriors.

The Unsinkables WIP #21 : WoC Armor Done, and Cape underway.
I feel like in trainspotting these days, except instead of dreaming of clean bathroom, i dream of going to bed early, and sleeping late.
Another night of painting until the wee hours last night allowed me to be almost done with the Warriors, with the armor, some details and most of the cloak done. I think i could manage to finish them this weekend if i get to spend enough time on them.

The Unsinkables WIP #20 : WoC Armor Basecoated!
Quite frankly, i had no intention to show this stage, because its not really a captivating one. But after spending 6 hours doing it, i though it deserved a post.
The Unsinkables WIP #19 : WoC Skin Done!
After a few hours last night, i completed the skin on all my 30 Warrior of Chaos.

The Unsinkables WIP #18 : WoC Skin progress
30 Warrior of Chaos. 30 converted Warrior of Chaos. And i gave myself 1 week to paint their skin... I hate myself sometimes.
But there's progress! I'd call the skin about 75% done, with only a purple wash left, some final highlight, and then the pustule wash works. These stages doesn't really require alot of effort, but they take times, since i need to wait for washes to be completely dry before going for the next one. For this reason, I also primed my mage, so you should see some update on him in the next few days.

The Unsinkables WIP #17 : Bases! Again!
With the goal of figuring out if my paint scheme for the bases works or not, i decided to spend some extra time today completing a set for my blightking to sit on. I'm still pretty happy with the result.
The Unsinkables WIP #16 : Bases! (and not, not making any jokes about bases).
Bases are often what makes armies stand out from others. For that reason, it is very important to me to make great looking base for my WoC army. With the boat themed, i figured that deck-like bases would be perfect for the army. After looking at many amazing looking army for inspiration, i went and started my bases ;

The Unsinkables WIP #15 : BSB done! 10 WoC done! 30 shields done! Chimera done!
Spent a few days away from home, but managed to get a few hours in before and after, and managed to complete pretty much everything i wanted to build. I call them done, but i might go and add some barnacle here and there. But the biggest job is done ; they are all built, nurgle-ized, and ready to be fielded on the table.

Forgeworld/Game Workshop "Made in China" review #2
I posted a review a few months ago about my first ever purchase of Forgeworld's copy from china. It was plague toad, basically, a big blob of finecast from nurgle. It was pretty hard to fail copying that. For the price i paid, i was very happy, and they served as a count as for my beast of nurgle, which models is old, ugly, and frankly outdated. Since then, the market for copy grew, and it is now easier than ever to find copy of just about anything, even Witch Elves! (when i take the witch elves for example, its simply to show how they can get filmsy detailed model copied now!)
When i started my Warrior of Chaos army, i didn't really consider china copy, because everything was easily available online (at already 25% off), and i'm not a big fan of failed copy. In the end, i did place an order, kinda to test the water to see how their copy do vs the real stuff. My order was ;
Chaos Lord
Nurgle Chaos Lord
Forgeworld Merwyrm
Hell Cannon
Sayl and his spawn.

The Unsinkables WIP #14 : BSB nearly done!
When motivation kicks in, its amazing! I'm having so much fun building these little fella', i almost do not see the time pass, or my kids, or my wife....
Anyway, i could wait until he's 100% finished, but i'm so excited about this model, i had to share!

Another update tonight? Yes Yes! after a very productive day/night, i managed to finish my goal for the week and some more!
I also received my order from an undisclosed business selling "Made in China", which i'll review in the next couple days.

The Unsinkables WIP #12 : Chariot done and some more WoC
Some updates pre-christmass!
First, i pretty much completed my chariot, the chariot and warshrine riders and 5 more WoC. That's some pretty nice work, giving me a total of 15 completed WoC so far, with 2 being worked on, and 3 waiting to be touched.
