Goal for 2013

With new year just around the corner, its time to write down my goal for the next year.

Warmachine

#1 My goal is pretty simple ; i cannot buy any more models before i start painting them again. I have a complete army, and only 2 models are painted.

Warhammer 40k

#2 Finish at least 10 of my Wyches
#3 Paint up all my Helion
#4 Add a unit of Painted Jetbike or Allies to the army.

Warhammer Fantasy

Nurgle
#5 Finish my 2500 pts army
#6 Build a presentation tray
#7 Play at least 10 games (not including ND V tournament) with them.



Ogre
#8 Finish my Stonehorn
#9 Build and Paint a new BSB
#10 Add tattoo to my older models.
#11 Play at least 10 games with them.


Orcs and Goblins
#12 Finish buying/building my Orcs Chariots
#13 Finish building/painting my Squig Manglers
#14 Finish buying/building my Doom Diver
#15 Finish building my Savage Orcs
#16 Paint at least 1 characters
#17 Play at least 5 games with them

Terrain

#18 Add 1 building to my 40k table
#19 Add 3 Craters to my 40k table
#20 Finish basing all my 40k building
#21 Base coat all my 40k building
#22 Build and Paint 2 of my Tabletop building
#23 Build and Paint 2 Tabletop forest
#24 Add another terrain to my fantasy table



Lots, and lots of goal for 2013. Some are pretty easy (building my doom diver), some will require alot more times (like finishing my Nurgle army). Out of the 24 goal i've set, i'm aiming for a 60% success rate.

Today, my slowly growing "womans team". At first i wanted to make it a 14 PB unit, but i'm slowly running out of idea for what else to do...

Nurgle Carnival - Plague Bearers WIP #1

As previously mentionned, a new projet is on the desk ; building and painting a new Daemon army by March.

So far, i have a little over 60 Built Plaguebearers and unit fillers. off the lot, roughly 30 are fully painted, ready to be gorified and based.

My current goal is to have 3 units (28, 28 and 14) of plaguebearers. The big two units will have full command, and the other just the musician.


First, some shot of the crew. Those are "standard" models, with little or no carnival modification. They are there just to boost the ranks, and not look too... i dunno, full?

Nurgle Carnival (2500 pts)

Over the last 3 weeks, i been working hard getting a new army together.

I've talked alot about it, and finally decided to start it after the model finally going plastic.

I'm talking about Nurgle Carnival.

As of right now, i have 21 Plaguebearers ready (out of.... 90-100), with plans for about 60 of them, so there should be alot of variety on each of my units.

First, lets look at the list. I know that Daemons are due sooner than later, but with Games Workshop finally closing any chance of rumors on books to come, i have to work with the conviction that the new book will not be released before our next big events, which is planned to happen in March.

First tournament under 6th edition (1500-1650 pts)

I played my first "tournament" this weekend with my Dark Eldar at a friendly 40k day down at the store. I brought my Dark Eldar to try and see how well they can do outside my basement (my previous games were all agains my friend Orks).

I'm pretty proud to say that i went 2 wins and 1 draw with a far from competitive list (at least, imho).

Building a table for 40k

I've spent quite alot of time lately building terrain to be able to play 40k at home. Right now i have roughly 7 ruins, with pretty much all done except basing, adding rubble, and painting (so basically, they are built, that's it). They are all built using Foamcore, white glue, and about 10 exacto's blade.

October 18th as if it was Christmas.

I just received my order from meeplemart.com, one of the best, if not the best online market in canada. Friendly, goes the extra mile to please their customer, and overall great price.

What i ordered is a whole lot of battlefoam kit, Janissa (Trollblood) and the Dark Vengeance box.

Incubi Done !

So i spent some time working on my old Metal Incubi, switching their paint scheme to what i currently do with my army. The 10 models are complete, but i doubt i'll ever use the 10 of them. With those complete, i'm up to 1300 pts, which i think deserve an army shot.

Not Burned out, just playing the game.

The past few months been pretty quiet on the painting side of the hobby. After many, many weeks playing Warmahordes, we switched to 40k, trying out our army that we only let out a few times (4-5 games maybe in 5th ed?).

I have roughly 1500 pts of completely painted Dark Eldar, with only a few units still unpainted (Hellions) or not bough yet (Reavers).

Here's my current V6 Dark Eldar list, 1750 pts of shooting goodness...

August come and gone. Incubi WIP #1

August is almost done, and i could say that except for the weekly WarmaHordes games, i didn't do much wargaming related.

But the past few days, with my vacation nearly done, i got some motivation to paint again, and this time i spent it painting Warhammer 40k, getting my army slowly to the 1750 pts mark painted.

Obviously, for those that didn't like my rusted up warriors, the incubi won't help them change their mind, but for the others, enjoy!

Obviously, their weapon's blade isnt finished yet, but i have no clue what color to paint them...
